The MADMi is proud to present this special project by Héctor Madera, whose focus parallels our commitment to presenting artists who explore issues of inclusivity and accessibility. With this large-scale installation, titled Another Day in Paradise, this multidisciplinary artist invites us to take part in his daily life and explore what he feels is paradise — a paradise that entails community, and gratitude.

Héctor Madera is one of those energetic people whose presence is immediately felt when he enters a room and it is with that same intensely positive energy that he throws himself into the creation of his works and into his community in Puerta de Tierra, which he celebrates and pays homage to with this installation, which acts as a meeting-point for visitors and a place for the artist’s personal reflection.

Ever since Madera started conceptualizing this project for the MADMi, his intentions were very clear: communicate the importance of sharing in your community and the pleasure that is attained from fostering human connections.
